The Continuing Education Department at East Arkansas Community College recently held its annual 4-day Enrichment Camp for area students in grades K-6.
This year’s theme for the camp was Sights of the City: Buildings, and Skyscrapers. Highly qualified CLUE (Creative Learning in a Unique Environment) teachers instructed the students in practicing higher-level thinking and group dynamics as they worked together engaging in research, creative thinking, logical thinking, creative problem solving, group discussions, and introspection. The students’ project for the week focused upon the construction of three-dimensional scale models of a skyscraper-packed city block.
The program was designed for highly motivated students who are eager to learn new concepts and ideas. The students qualified for the camp by being recommended by their teachers.
