Dr. Erin Nash Nave has been named as the Program Director for the new Occupational Therapist Assistant program at East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City.
Nave graduated from Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication and a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mississippi. She also attended Creighton College earning a Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Occupational therapist assistants (OTAs), commonly known as occupational therapy assistants, work under the direction of occupational therapists to provide rehabilitative services to persons with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments. The ultimate goal is to improve clients’ quality of life and ability to perform daily activities.
The initial application date for admission to the OTA program at EACC will be September 1, 2010 with the first OTA classes anticipated to begin in the Spring Semester 2011.
