The “Surfin for a Cure” Relay for Life team at East Arkansas Community College recently participated in the annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society at Sam Smith Stadium in Forrest City.

“Our Relay for Life team has been a great group to work with,” said Carla Nimocks, EACC Relay for Life Captain. They have been dedicated to the purpose of raising funds for the American Cancer Society to help find a cure for cancer. I appreciate their hard work.”

The team announced they have surpassed their yearly fundraising goals of over $1,800 by holding numerous events on the EACC campus. The events included a baby photo contest, a silent auction, and the sale of refreshments at the Relay for Life event.
