Associate Director of Computer Services

East Arkansas Community College is accepting applications for an Associate Director of Computer Services. The responsibilities include: assisting in maintaining the College’s management information systems including hardware, software, and data analysis, also assisting in maintaining necessary equipment, networks and instructional software for the college’s academic programs, and be responsible for the college’s website maintenance. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or related experience in the computer services/management information systems field. Director of Educational Guidance Services

East Arkansas Community College is seeking applicants for the Director of Educational Guidance Services position. The Director will report to the Vice President for Student Affairs and will be responsible for the operation of the Student Support Services (TRIO Program) and Counseling Services. This includes administering a comprehensive counseling/testing program, academic advising, preparing state and federal reports, writing grant proposals, administering budgets and other related duties. Minimum Requirements: A Master’s Degree in counseling or related field plus three years of management experience. Specific skills preferred are knowledge of educational and administrative assessment tools and techniques, policy and planning, development skills, strong leadership skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and experience in managing and writing federal grants. Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Nursing Faculty

East Arkansas Community College is currently seeking applicants for Nursing Faculty. This is a nine-month position beginning August, 2008. The job duties include advising, recruiting and teaching 1st and 2nd year students in both classroom and clinical (most of the clinicals are in Memphis). A Master’s degree in nursing, current unencumbered license to practice in the state of Arkansas or have multi-state RN licensure, and two years of clinical experience are required. Consideration will be given to a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing if the successful applicant is willing to obtain or is currently enrolled in a Master’s program; two years of teaching experience is preferred. Clinical Coordinator for Radiologic Technology

East Arkansas Community College is currently seeking applicants for a clinical coordinator for radiologic technology.  The job responsibilities include:  coordinating clinical experiences for 1st or 2nd year students in laboratory and clinical settings, reviewing and revising clinical curriculum as needed to correspond with didactic instruction, arranging clinical sites for the students, supervising students in the clinical areas, and advising students. 
Educational and experience requirements: An associate’s degree in the field (candidate will be required to seek a bachelor’s degree), Certification in Radiography by ARRT and a minimum of five (5) years work experience.  A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

On-Line Course Designer

East Arkansas Community College is advertising for an on-line course designer. The job responsibilities include converting traditional technology courses to an on-line format using the WebCT platform.
The successful applicant is expected to have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  1. Strong communication skills
  2. Excellent writing skills
  3. Excellent computer skills
  4. Curriculum development experience
  5. An understanding of on-line pedagogy
  6. Experience with WebCT or Blackboard
  7. Good organizational skills
The education/experience requirements are: a Bachelor’s degree plus at least one year experience with WebCT or Blackboard. This is a grant funded position. Apprentice Tradesman

East Arkansas Community College is advertising for an apprentice tradesman. The candidate selected will work under the supervision of the plant maintenance supervisor and will be responsible for performing and assisting in a variety of skilled trades. The potential duties include: installing electrical wiring, plumbing assignments, painting interior and exterior structures, and other related tasks assigned by the supervisor. While the candidate may not possess all the skills noted, a good working knowledge of those would be desirable. Education and/or experience requirements: Sufficient education or training to read and write; plus one year of experience in the trade areas. Director of Medical Assisting Technology Program

The job responsibilities include organizing and administering the program, developing curriculum, evaluating, instructing and counseling students, and promoting the program. Education and experience requirements: an associate’s degree in the field and instruction in educational theory or techniques, certification in Medical Assisting Technology by a nationally accredited credentialing organization, (American Association of Medical Assistants or American Medical Technologists), and 40 hours of experience in an ambulatory health care setting performing or observing administrative and clinical procedures of medical assisting.
