Students in East Arkansas Community College’s Honors Program recently traveled to Memphis for a field trip as part of the fall semester’s History of Rock ‘N’ Roll special topics honors course. Throughout the day trip to “The Birthplace of Rock ‘N’ Roll,” students visited the historical Sun Studio, the STAX Museum of American Soul Music, the Rock ‘N’ Soul Museum, and the Gibson Guitar Factory.
This semester’s History of Rock ‘N’ Roll special topics honors course focused on a study of the origins of “Rock ‘N’ Roll” and the events and personalities that influenced the musical form, as well as the influence Rock ‘N’ Roll has had on history and culture since its inception.
