EACC Presents "All Hands On Deck"

EACC presents the Branson based national touring production of All Hands on Deck, “America’s #1 Patriotic Show,” on Saturday, October 20th at 7:30 p.m. at the EACC Fine Arts Center as part of the 2018-19 performance season’s Spotlight Series. Purchase tickets online!

ALL SINGING! ALL DANCING! ALL BIG BAND! Based on Bob Hope’s 1942 USO tour to the troops in the field, the All Hands on Deck show features charismatic singers, dancers, comics, and a 9-piece orchestra performing the songs, dances, and laughs that America has loved since the 1940s.  Boasting 42 of the greatest American songs ever written in a fun-filled, true to life reproduction of Bob Hope and Jack Benny’s USO show, All Hands on Deck brings classic humor and great music from those special days of road shows, war-bond drives, and radio broadcasts.

All Hands on Deck was born of a heart filled with gratitude and patriotism.  Creator and Broadway veteran Jody Madaras set out to write a show expressing thanks to the greatest generation, the men and women who served during World War II and the Korean Conflict, while also reminding Americans of a time when the country was united.  “We are reminded every day that our country has challenges,” said Madaras.  “I wanted to write about patriotic unity, what’s right about our country, and thank our veterans in a musical way,” he added. “I wanted audiences to leave feeling a little better and happier about our country,” said Madaras.

Madaras’ strong patriotism is credited in large part to his family.  His grandmother was extremely active in the America Legion Auxiliary, and his grandfather was an immigrant through Ellis Island from Hungary in 1911 and proudly served as an officer in the U.S. Navy in World War II.  In a family of great Americans lives great patriotism, reverence, gratitude, honor, and integrity, and Madaras masterfully crafted together those values into a production that takes the audience on a sentimental and inspirational journey.

Featuring Broadway veteran Jody Madaras, four sparkling New York voices, and the rich sounds of the live 9-piece orchestra, classic commercials, tight harmonies, impromptu skits, and 42 of the greatest American songs ever written, the All Hands on Deck show offers a musical message for all Americans with a full-circle patriotic salute celebrating the American way of life and reminding audiences of a time when the country was fully united.  Audiences of all ages will grin from ear-to-ear with delight as they unite with this heart-warming, toe-tapping musical message for all Americans!
