Dakota Bridges of Palestine, Arkansas has been awarded the EACC Foundation's Eleanor B. and Harry E. Beasley Scholarship for the fall 2019 semester.
Bridges is currently enrolled in the Associate of Arts degree program at EACC. After graduating from EACC with an Associate of Arts degree, she plans to continue her education in the nursing program at EACC and hopes to have a career in the medical field. "I am so honored to receive this scholarship," said Bridges. "It truly is a blessing," she added.
The Beasley Scholarship was established in honor of Eleanor B. Beasley, longtime Board of Trustees member at EACC and her husband Harry E. Beasley. Their family established this endowed scholarship in 2004 to keep alive the love of education their parents exhibited throughout their lives. Dedicated to assisting students at EACC who graduated from an accredited high school in St. Francis County, this scholarship is awarded to a full-time sophomore student with a minimum 3.00 GPA.
