EACC presents America's longest running band and award-winning group, Exile, on Saturday, January 18th at 7:30 p.m. in the EACC Fine Arts Center. Purchase Tickets Online.
EXILE, who initially set out to play small clubs in Richmond, Kentucky, skyrocketed to world-wide fame with their chart-topper, "Kiss You All Over." In the early 1980s, Exile had ten number one singles on the Country charts including "I Don't Want to be a Memory," "Give Me One More Chance," "She's A Miracle," and others. The band wrote their own songs, played on all of their recordings, and also proved to be prolific songwriters as they composed hits for artists such as Alabama, Reckless Heart, Huey Lewis, Diamond Rio, and many more.
Exile has received 11 Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association award nominations including Vocal Group of the Year and Best Instrumental Performance. They were inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and have appeared over 100 times on the Grand Ole Opry.
In 2008, the original five Exile members re-formed with J.P. Pennington, Les Taylor, Sonny LeMaire, Marlon Hargis, and Steve Goetzman. Exile recently released their latest project Hits and the album contains 11 number one songs spanning three decades. The ultimate, cross-over band has sold over 8 million records worldwide with three Gold albums.
Tickets for Exile's performance are $39 and are available online at EACC.edu, by calling 870-633-4480, ext. 352, or in person at the Fine Arts Center Ticket Office.
