EACC announces honor graduates Jake Eldridge of Colt and Zoe Mathes of Forrest City will serve as this year's student speakers for the upcoming Commencement ceremonies for the graduating class of 2024.
Jake Eldridge will present the student address to his graduating class during the Allied Health Commencement Ceremony scheduled on Thursday, May 9th at 6:00 p.m. and Zoe Mathes will address fellow graduates during the General Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 10th at 6:00 p.m.
Eldridge is graduating Summa Cum Laude with an Associate of Science degree in Nursing and a Technical Certificate in Health Professions. He currently works as a phlebotomist at Crossridge Community Hospital, and is active in his church at Fair Oaks Assembly of God where helps lead worship and teaches Sunday school.
Eldridge is a 2022 graduate from Wynne High School where he graduated with honors and served as president of the drama club. After graduating from EACC, he plans to pursue his career in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock.
Zoe Mathes is graduating Summa Cum Laude with an Associate of Arts degree, Certificate in General Studies, and Certificate of Proficiency in STEM. While attending EACC, Mathes was a member of Phi Theta Kappa international honor society, participated in the Honors Program, served as president of the Student Government Association, volunteered as an EACC Ambassador, and received EACC's 2023 Academic All-Star Award.
Mathes is a 2023 graduate from Arkansas Virtual Academy where she was valedictorian of her high school class and a member of the National Honor Society. After graduation, she plans to attend Arkansas State University in Jonesboro to pursue a bachelor's degree Strategic Communications. Her future career plans include working in social media management.
Graduates participating in EACC's Commencement ceremonies will be provided a limited number of tickets and everyone attending the events will be required to have a ticket for admission.
