EACC held the forty-ninth annual Commencement ceremonies for the graduating class of 2024. Ceremonies were held on Thursday, May 9th and Friday, May 10th. 235 graduates in 49 academic and technical programs were awarded a total of 552 degrees and certificates during the event.
A variety of degrees were awarded including: Associate of Arts, Associate of Science degrees in Business, Criminal Justice, Education, and Liberal Arts and Sciences, Associate of Applied Science degrees in Childcare, Criminal Justice, Emergency Medical Technology-Paramedic, General Technology, Nursing, and Radiologic Technology. Certificates awarded were: Certificate in General Studies, Technical Certificates in Auto Body Repair, Automotive Service Technology, Childcare, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Diesel Technology, Education Studies, Emergency Medical Technology-Paramedic, Health Professions, Industrial Equipment Technology, Practical Nursing, Residential Heat & Air Conditioning, and Welding Technology. Certificates of Proficiency awarded were: Art as a Small Business, Auto Body Painting and Refinishing, Automotive Service Technology, Business, Childcare, Commercial Driver Training, Criminal Justice, Diesel Technology, Education Studies, Emergency Medical Technology- Basic, General Education, General Studies, Hair Care, Heavy Equipment Operations, Industrial Equipment Technology, Medical Professions Education, Nursing Assistant, Refrigeration and Heat Exchange Technology, Residential Heat and Air Conditioning, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Skin Care, Social Work, and Welding Technology. General education diplomas were also awarded during the event.
Dr. Cathie Cline, EACC President, welcomed graduates and guests to the Commencement ceremonies. Honor graduates Jake Eldridge of Colt and Zoe Mathes of Forrest City served as student speakers for the ceremonies. The candidates were presented as Dr. Cline conferred the degrees.
